Thermoreactor Range

Monday, 20 August, 2001 | Supplied by: Merck Pty Ltd

Merck has a range of sample preparation instruments for the digestion of water and wastewater samples prior to photometric analysis. It is often necessary to digest a sample to determine the concentration of a specific analyte that is in a complex, bound or colloidal form. This can be done with the addition of a digestion reagent and heating in a block heater (thermoreactor).

Common applications include trace metals in potable water, total phosphorus, nitrogen in wastewater as well as the determination of COD and TOC in wastewater.

The models include an economy model (TR320), a high throughput model (24 standard tube positions) and a premium model (TR620) with two heating blocks that can be independently programmed at different temperatures for flexibility.

All models have preprogrammed methods to minimise repeated method steps, whilst the TR420 and 620 permit additional user programmed methods.
