Sorvall Discovery SE ultracentrifuges are warranted for use with Beckman ultra rotors. They offer powerful functionality together with ease of use to make even complicated ultracentrifuge separations simple.

Automatic RCF/RPM mode allows users to set runs to a maximum speed or desired g force, while real-time control allows delayed start/stop runs. Other standard features include an online rotor catalogue which details key specifications for Sorvall, Beckman and Kontron rotors, a 20-program memory, and run scheduling for centrifuge reservations.

Discovery SE ultracentrifuges offer top speeds to 90,000 or 100,000 rpm. The simple operator interface, comprising a keypad and large LCD, enables easy setup of routine spins. Dual display of set and run conditions allows instrument performance to be verified at a glance, while the screen zoom function allows separations to be monitored from across the laboratory.

Compass centrifugation software is a Windows-based application that provides comprehensive setup, run simulation and help. The printer option generates a hard copy of set and actual run conditions to meet GMP/GLP or other regulatory requirements, while the user lockout system restricts use of the centrifuge to registered personnel only.
