Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has partnered with Ceres Nanosciences and Nonlinear Dynamics to develop the Nanotrap Biomarker Discovery Platform that can give researchers the ability to enrich, preserve and screen low-level biomarkers directly from complex biological samples.

Digesters

09 January, 2008

The mineralisation units of the DK series digesters are designed for digesting solid and liquid samples in order to determine the nitrogen/protein content according to the Kjeldhal method. Velp digesters are made up of an aluminium heating block which offers good thermal homogeneity, with a maximum working temperature of 450°C. The block's temperature is controlled by dedicated microprocessor electronics. The temperature probe does not require calibration since the electronics performs self-calibration every time the device is turned on. All of this makes it possible to obtain high test precision and repeatability.
