For normal gel documentation, Wealtec’s KETA G series imaging systems provide a reliable computer-controlled capturing system. Users only need an additional UV/white light converter plate or filter for visual observation of commonly used nucleic acid or protein dyes.

The system consists of a superior 12-bit b/w CCD camera, motorised lens, standard five-position motorised filter wheel coupled with a highly transparent amber filter and a 2x close-up lens. The KETA G-series comprise three models employing a high-intensity, wall-mounted white light LED for epi-illumination.

Optional MC 100 and MC 100-1 multi-colour epi-illumination light sources are available for different application needs. A large visual area (25 x 25 cm) with high-intensity low-background MD-25K UV transilluminator enhances gel visibility. The Magic 1D software package enables fast image capture within a second. A full range of filters is available.

The KETA G series provides good performance for routine life science applications and the system is easily upgradable to a Peltier-cooled or a two-stage cooled CCD camera for chemiluminescence and fluorescence applications.
