A full IT overhaul in the cloud

Specialist cloud provider IT on Cloud has been selected by TGR BioSciences, a global provider and developer of cell-based assay technologies, to migrate its internal IT infrastructure to the cloud.
TGR BioSciences is an Adelaide-based biotechnology company specialising in the research and development of scientifically proven products that facilitate drug discovery research. The company works with commercial partners to develop products for R&D, routine testing and diagnostic applications in any industry.
TGR BioSciences CEO Anne Hinton explained, “We were facing some issues with our in-house IT infrastructure. The systems were quite outdated and inflexible. We had issues accessing data and files, especially when overseas.”
TGR previously ran Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2011 with Microsoft Exchange and multiple versions of Microsoft Office.
“As a global provider with customers in the US, UK, Europe, Asia and Canada, it was important that we could access our servers online from anywhere in the world,” Hinton continued. “In addition, we had very limited in-house IT support, so it was imperative to find a reliable cloud partner to look after our IT needs.
“IT on Cloud was recommended to us by one of our peers, who is using them very successfully. They came in and evaluated the IT environment and made recommendations. Migration was very quick. The whole process took less than a month - from site analysis to deployment.”
IT on Cloud CEO Andrew Tucker said, “Our ability to provide TGR BioSciences with a single, low monthly fee, and no lock-in contract for running in the cloud, made it really easy for them to move to our fully managed hosted desktop. This includes migration, as well as all service, support and maintenance.”
Hinton concluded, “The main reason we chose IT on Cloud was the personal service they offered. Support has been great, they have been very responsive and inquiries have been always addressed within the hour. IT on Cloud really listens to the needs of the customer.”
