IKA’s laboratory software Labworldsoft enables networking of up to 64 laboratory devices which can be controlled simultaneously via one PC. The software is available in multiple platforms and easily exports to Excel or Access.

The software enables simple and efficient automation of experiments and processes in the lab. Not only can the user control IKA magnetic stirrers, overhead stirrers, shakers, thermostats and rotary evaporators, other manufacturers’ laboratory devices can also be effortlessly integrated.

The communication between PC and laboratory device is performed via the serial interface RS232 (COM1 or COM2), with the ability for further devices to be added via plug-in cards and ethernet RS232 servers. All instruments, measurements and processes can be controlled independently from each other, thus avoiding long waits and increasing productivity, and the measured values (speed, temperature, torque, pH, etc) can be documented separately.
