The Arbor M1255 is a portable medical PC targeting mobile clinical assistant applications.

This advanced tablet PC comes equipped with a 12 resistive touch screen, a 1.6 GHz Atom N270 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 60 GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n wireless networking, 2.0 megapixel camera, 2D barcode scanner, fingerprint scanner, RFID reader, serial port, VGA port, GbE LAN and four USB 2.0 ports. The front panel is IP54 compliant, making it water and dust resistant and readily cleanable and easily sterilised for use in a number of environments.

Slim (25 mm) and lightweight (1.6 kg), with a slip-free grip for easy handling, the M1255 is designed to be comfortably carried for long periods of time. With a high-definition touch screen (1024 x 768 resolution), eight function keys and a five-way control button on front panel, clinicians can easily operate the device with finger or stylus. Moreover, M1255 provides two 2000 mAh Li-batteries (the internal and the hot-swappable external battery) to extend the battery life to 3.5 h and prevent system crash when switching power source.

The M1255 is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, 2D barcode scanner, RFID and ample I/O ports for flexible expansion purpose to connect other medical devices. It is wirelessly connected with Bluetooth and WLAN modules.

Biometric Fingerprint Validation allows healthcare professionals to access real-time patient records and bring reliable, automated patient data management directly to the point of care. Access to disengage the unit from the docking station or to operate it is granted only through a successful biometric fingerprint validation. This feature offers a quick and convenient way of identity authentication for multi-users and protects medical data from unauthorised access. The M1255 is suitable for use in laboratory, ER, theatre, ICU, bedside and numerous other hospital or clinical environments.
