Spexxis data management

Monday, 20 September, 2004 | Supplied by: Sartorius Australia Pty Ltd

Spexxis is for regulated data acquisition in laboratory procedures.

The device electronically maps the laboratory process actually used in the laboratory, incorporating all elements of this process into its software.

Once users have logged onto a client PC they are guided throughout each step. Depending on the user qualifications and access rights assigned, an SOP selection customised for the specific user is displayed on the screen.

If several measuring instruments are suitable for performing an SOP, the user is also shown a selection of these.

Spexxis can take over monitoring the accuracy of these instruments and prompt calibration of a specific instrument.

The server as a central component of Spexxis tracks all steps performed. Whether user actions are performed, such as inputting a sample ID, or the results of an analysis are requested from the instruments themselves, all of this is centrally controlled by the server.

Electronic confirmation of the results of an analysis by the user's esignature can be saved in the traceable audit trail along with other steps of each method.
