MBF Bioscience’s WormLab — a complete hardware and software system for imaging and quantitative analysis of C. elegans behaviour — has received an upgrade for 2023.
The product is easy to use and includes powerful, comprehensive analyses to fully characterise a broad range of worm behaviours. It has been developed over more than a decade through collaboration with leading C. elegans researchers, and continues to evolve based on feedback from the WormLab user community.
The latest version includes a free-hand contour label, enabling users to define regions of interest of any size or shape for custom analyses. This provides greater flexibility in analysing worm behaviour than before.
Additions to the repair tool box enable users to remove non-worm objects, assign IDs to worm tracks and automatically join discontinuous tracks based on shape and position. Navigation tools make it easy to audit tracking results for key events such as track start, termination and entanglements.
MBF Bioscience has introduced a new floating licence option that provides increased flexibility. Users can also improve their analysis workflow and get results more quickly with WormLab Explorer (an analysis-only licensing option is now available).
Users with a current subscription for Software Upgrade and Support Services can download version 2023 directly from the MBF download centre. If a subscription for Software Upgrade and Support Services has expired, the company can renew it so that users have access to all the latest features in WormLab version 2023.
