Version 3 of the LabWare LIMS Web Browser Interface provides a rich user experience in a zero footprint solution that requires no code installation on the user’s local desktop.
As a purely browser-based solution, LabWare WebLIMS enables a truly zero-footprint implementation. The complete adherence to true open computing standards also enables WebLIMS to fulfil the promise of modern cross-platform computing. Rather than obligating the use of a personal computer and a specific browser platform, this design enables the use of a broad range of hardware form factors and browser technologies. It is as compatible with PCs as it is with Macs and even handheld devices like the Apple iPhone, and it functions identically on browsers as diverse as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

By leveraging its existing technology, LabWare has provided powerful capabilities for creation of a nearly unlimited array of functional web services, which LabWare LIMS has the ability to both dynamically publish and consume. Using their existing installed systems, and utilising many of the capabilities with which they’re already trained and accustomed, LabWare users are now able to design and dynamically publish their own web services for application integration within their enterprise.
LabWare WebLIMS serves as a powerful presentation layer within the LabWare LIMS product suite, and is compatible with users’ existing installations of LabWare LIMS. The architecture enables the user to deploy the user interface as a completely browser-based solution, or as a hybrid approach operating in conjunction with thin clients.
