Entries are now open in the 2006 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes, Australia's premier science awards. The 2006 Eureka Prizes consist of 20 awards worth over $200,000 and include the largest line-up of prizes for research into environmental and sustainability issues facing Australia.
The 2006 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes offers awards in 4 categories:
- Research
- Leadership and Innovation
- Education
- Science Communication
The Prizes acknowledge and reward outstanding achievements in Australian science and science communication and, in so doing, raise the profile of science in the community.
They reward a comprehensive range of research activity, leadership and innovation, secondary school science, science journalism and science communication.
Be part of the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes by entering yourself or nominating someone for one of these prestigious prizes. Entries in all prizes close on Friday 5 May 2006. Winners will be announced at a gala award dinner at Sydney's celebrated Royal Hall of Industries on 22 August 2006.
