63rd AACB Annual Scientific Conference
14 September, 2026 - 17 September, 2026
With three full days of keynote presentations, industry engagement and exhibition, symposia, oral and poster presentations, and extensive networking and social opportunities, this year’s theme of the Australasian Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine’s Annual Scientific Conference — held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre — is the Practical Clinical Laboratory.
The theme highlights the essential role of the laboratory in translating innovation into real-world patient care, emphasising the laboratory as a place of action and application — where theory, emerging technologies and clinical guidelines are transformed into meaningful outcomes that support diagnosis, monitoring and treatment.
Held immediately before the conference (on 14 September), the Early Career Scientist Forum will offer rising scientists dedicated opportunities for collaboration, mentoring and professional development. The two-day Clinical Mass Spectrometry meeting — following the main conference (18–19 September at Bio21, University of Melbourne) — will bring together experts and practitioners to discuss the latest advances, applications and challenges in mass spectrometry within clinical laboratories.
