Industry funding for e-learning
Businesses and industry groups must apply soon to be eligible for funding to support workforce development and training.
The Australian Flexible Learning Framework has released $600,000 to fund approximately 13 industry e-learning demonstrations. Applicants can apply for up to $75,000.
Businesses will use the funding to develop demonstrations which showcase how e-learning can be a central component of workplace learning.
The industry e-learning demonstration funding is aimed at employers, although successful applicants must have an active partnership with a registered training organisation.
Past recipients include Energy Australia, which developed web-based training for the industry in a core skill area of polarity testing, and Codan Ltd, which introduced e-learning into a technical area to improve the standard of training.
Full application details can be downloaded from the E-learning for Industry website.
Applications must be submitted online before 4 April 2007.
