Professor Ian Chubb appointed Australia's Chief Scientist
CSIRO Chief Executive Dr Megan Clark has welcomed the appointment of Professor Ian Chubb as Australia’s Chief Scientist saying there were few people more passionate about science, education and research and development.
Professor Chubb is a current Board member of the CSIRO and a former Vice Chancellor of the Australian National University.
“Professor Chubb has a wide range of experience and knowledge of science and, of course, education, but he also has the ability to bring those together in a relevant and engaging way,” Dr Clark said.
“As a CSIRO Board member, Professor Chubb adds valuable perspectives and leadership to ensure that science in Australia is at the forefront and focused on tackling the major challenges we face.”
