The BioRidge TD5Z centrifuge is available now from Pacific Laboratory Products (PLP). The compact and stylish benchtop centrifuge is microprocessor-controlled and has a variable-conversion motor that aims to deliver high-speed accuracy, stable operation and low noise of <65 dB(A).

The TD5Z comes as a centrifuge only; multiple different rotor options with buckets and adaptors are available. Programmable operation can be set according to the experiment’s needs or stored for repeated use in the lab, with a time setting range of 1 s to 99 min and 59 s.

An intuitive touch control panel features an LED or LCD display and a user-friendly interface for simple and convenient operation. The centrifuge offers real-time conversion of speed and RCF (max RCF 5030 x g).

The TD5Z is CE marked and GMP certified. It is self-locking with lid safety mechanisms and over-speed protection including an automatic alarm. Other features of the unit include a maximum speed of 0–5000 r/min; a maximum rotor capacity of 4 x 500 mL; and overall machine power of 750 W. Its dimensions are 465 x 560 x 380 mm and its weight is 51 kg.
