Hauschild SpeedMixer SMART DAC
The Hauschild SpeedMixer SMART DAC uses bladeless technology to improve and automate the process of producing homogeneous, multi-material compounds such as liquids, high-viscosity pastes and powders in less than a minute with no waste and no clean-up. It can help optimise mixing processes particularly in applications where materials can be challenging to mix.
The Hauschild SpeedMixer is designed to help achieve accurate and precise dosage of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for patient-specific treatments as liquids, topical creams, transdermal gels and suppositories are mixed, milled/dispersed and blended.
Liposomes are one of the most effective carriers of many different types of bioactives to cells and display therapeutic potential in drug delivery, cancer treatment, gene therapy and as immunological adjuvants in vaccines. DAC (Dual Asymmetric Centrifuge) offers a simple method to prepare reproducible liposomes with a size of approx. 60 nm in small batch sizes of approx. 1 g — or even less — in standard injection vials under sterile conditions.
Key to the DAC mixing principle is the simultaneous clockwise and counterclockwise rotation of the mixing cup. The combination of centrifugal forces acting in different planes enables an efficient mixing process characterised by a bubble-free homogeneous result even for highly viscous samples, without the use of agitators.
The SpeedMixer SMART DAC series combines real-time temperature control, cooling, vacuum-robotic, sensor integration, variable counter rotation, Internet of Things compliance, QR-code reader, remote control and automatic pot cooling system. Designed to be virtually maintenance-free and indestructible, the SpeedMixer is designed to give operators the ability to mix while maintaining a desired temperature, blending speed and mixing time.
