The IKA TWISTER is a powerful single-position magnetic stirrer for mixing up to 5 L (max 3000 rpm, max 500 mPa·s). Connecting up to 30 units together, it becomes a multi-place stirrer, where each unit can be controlled independently or simultaneously. With high ingress protection rating (IP66) and a glass surface for corrosion resistance, the product helps users to effectively manage their bench space.

TWISTER introduces an innovative operating concept on the 360° LED glass display; all information is intuitively conveyed without any alphanumeric display. During operation, either the speed or the power required for stirring can be displayed (viscosity changes can be displayed as a percentage).

Mixing can be started by a button press or — thanks to integrated beaker recognition — automatically by placing or touching the beaker to the unit. Reverse function can be enabled to change the direction of rotation at definable time intervals.

Attaching the multi-position stirring TW.IX accessory, TWISTER is transformed into a 9-position magnetic stirrer for sample vessels with small volumes (8–60 mL). The product can further be transformed into a vortex or orbital shaker with the TW.VX shaker attachment.
