The MicroCal PEAQ-ITC from Malvern Instruments offers the latest technology in isothermal titration calorimetery used to measure heat released or absorbed during a biomolecular binding event. It also provides binding kinetics data.

Featuring a wide affinity range, fast response time and high signal to noise, the product enables the analysis of weak to high affinity binders with good reproducibility. The non-reactive Hastelloy cell ensures chemical resistance and compatibility with biological samples while the precision pipette enables smaller injection volumes.

Binding parameters such as binding affinity (K_D), stoichiometry (n), enthalpy (ΔH) and entropy (ΔS) can be determined in a single experiment. Newly developed software delivers fast analysis with high data sensitivity and fully automated options for unattended operation. User-friendly workflows with embedded help videos guide the user along the entire experiment from set-up to final results and reporting.

The product requires no modification, either with fluorescent tags or through immobilisation, and measures the affinity of binding of biomolecules in their native state giving a true picture of behaviour. It features automated washing, user-friendly guided workflows and low sample consumption (just 10 µg protein).
