Malvern Instruments MicroCal PEAQ-ITC system
The MicroCal PEAQ-ITC from Malvern Instruments offers the latest technology in isothermal titration calorimetery used to measure heat released or absorbed during a biomolecular binding event. It also provides binding kinetics data.
Featuring a wide affinity range, fast response time and high signal to noise, the product enables the analysis of weak to high affinity binders with good reproducibility. The non-reactive Hastelloy cell ensures chemical resistance and compatibility with biological samples while the precision pipette enables smaller injection volumes.
Binding parameters such as binding affinity (KD), stoichiometry (n), enthalpy (ΔH) and entropy (ΔS) can be determined in a single experiment. Newly developed software delivers fast analysis with high data sensitivity and fully automated options for unattended operation. User-friendly workflows with embedded help videos guide the user along the entire experiment from set-up to final results and reporting.
The product requires no modification, either with fluorescent tags or through immobilisation, and measures the affinity of binding of biomolecules in their native state giving a true picture of behaviour. It features automated washing, user-friendly guided workflows and low sample consumption (just 10 µg protein).
