The Downflow Workstation is a standalone, ductless unit that protects workers from powders or fumes. The product’s open design allows for close inspection of samples, while maintaining a high level of operator protection.

Particles or fumes are drawn downward through the stainless steel work surface, away from a user's breathing zone and contaminants are removed by a series of filters. After the fumes or powders or filtered, the clean air is returned to the room.

The base section is removable for easy cleaning, which is useful when working with powders. Additional features include: durable aluminium frame; corrosion resistant, powder-coated exterior; internal fluorescent lighting; pressure switch for filter saturation; automatic filter monitoring and alarm.

Applications could include dissection, latent print dusting, histology, microscopy and solvent bonding. Applications including powders or chemicals with high molecular weights are suitable, due to the downward airflow pattern.
