Atago PAL-α pocket refractometer

The Atago PAL-α refractometer is suitable for almost any food sample and has a Brix measurement range of 0.0 to 85°. Measurement values are displayed within 3 s.

The refractometer is lightweight (100 g), compact and ergonomically designed for one-hand operation. By reducing the number of unnecessary assembly parts such as the grip, the risks of creating an unhygienic environment have been minimised. The device is water resistant, can be washed under running water and only requires standard tap water for calibration. It is supplied with a sturdy storage case and optional strap holder.

The device is equipped with a temperature display and compensation range from 10 to 100°C. With automatic temperature compensation, high temperature samples can be measured during heating or cooking.

Typical applications include: outdoor vegetable fields and fruit orchards; indoor food and beverage facilities; fruit and vegetable packing facilities; restaurants/shops; and schools/universities. Due to its External Light Interference feature, the device even works in bright sunlight and under other strong external light sources.
