Fritsch Pulverisette 14 centrifugal mill

Fritsch’s Pulverisette 14 centrifugal mill can be used for fast size reduction of medium-hard to soft materials or even for dispersion and homogenisation of dry samples.

The centrifugal mill ensures gentle but fast processing due to two-step grinding. First, material with a maximum size of 2 cm, is pre-crushed on impact with the rotor blades at high speed. In the second run it is ground between the rotor and the sieve ring down to a size of 0.08 mm. Variable speed between 20,000 and 6000 rpm combined with the claimed strongest drive available automatically adjust speed to the load and ensure speed stability for good milling results.

The centrifugal mill is suitable for grinding of temperature-sensitive materials such as grains, resins and fertilisers. The very high rotor speed enables fast and effective grinding, reducing thermal stress on the grinding material. Samples that are difficult to grind, such as plastics, can be ground to analytical fineness after embrittlement with liquid nitrogen.
