The Hydac programmable electronic pressure switch EDS 4400 with pressure-resistant encapsulation and triple approval according to ATEX, CSA and IECEx facilitates universal, global use of the devices in explosion-risk environments. Every device is triple certified and labelled, obviating the need for multiple devices with separate individual approvals.

Like the industrial version of EDS 4400, the devices with triple approvals have the proven fully sealed stainless steel measurement cell with thin film DMS without internal seals. The devices are programmed conveniently and simply using the HPG 3000 Hydac programming unit. They are suitable for applications in the mining and the oil and gas industries, eg, in underground vehicles, hydraulic assemblies, blow-out preventers (BOPs), drill drives or valve actuation stations and in areas with high dust loads.

Features include: accuracy ≤1.0% FS; certificates - ATEX KEMA 10ATEX0100 X, CSA MC 224264, IECEx KEM 10.0053X; robust design; highly accurate temperatures; good EMC characteristics; good long-term properties.
