IKAC 5000 control package calorimeter

The IKA C 5000 control calorimeter is claimed to be the only calorimeter of its kind worldwide. It combines three methods into one device, enabling the determination of gross calorific values of liquid and solid samples in adiabatic (14-18 min), isoperibolic (22 min) and dynamic (reduced time: 10 min) modes.

The product has been validated according to DIN 51900, ISO 1928, ASTM D240, ASTM D4809, ASTM D5865, ASTM D1989, ASTM D5468 and ASTM E711. Standard consumables for calibrations and initial operation are included with delivery. Interface connections are available for a printer, scale, monitor and sample rack, and LIMS integration is also possible.

The product has a high level of automation, featuring: automatic water handling system including tempering, filling and emptying of calorimeter inner vessel; automatic oxygen filling and degassing of the decomposition vessel; automatic decomposition vessel identification.

An extensive range of accessories is also available. These include: C 5040 CalWin software for controlling the calorimeter and administration of measuring data; halogen-resistant vessel C 5012 for quantitative decomposition of halogens and sulfur; cooling water supply via thermostat KV 600 or firmly installed water connection (temperature range 10-19°C); decomposition vessel can be changed over to use combustible crucibles C 14.
