Shimadzu Stablo-Ex ioniser
The Shimadzu Stablo-Ex ioniser uses an AC corona discharge to generate ions with good ion balance which, when emitted from the emission port quickly, reduces the static charge on samples and containers. The ioniser can be used for improving measurement stability when measuring extra small samples with an analytical balance and samples that easily become electrostatically charged.
The compact ioniser is claimed to reliably remove charge from large areas and can be used at any angle or in confined spaces. It is claimed to give stable performance over long periods and air flow can be switched on/off to remove charge from powders and other easily scattered samples.
