Testometric materials testing machines

Testometric specialises in materials testing machines and quality control equipment. Its products have a fully integrated digital control system for precise controllability. They have high-resolution force transducers with better than 0.5% accuracy and down to 1/1000th of capacity, plus they can withstand 800% overload without damage.

The machines’ systems have good self-diagnostics capabilities and direct network connectivity. Their smart linking capabilities allow for interaction with software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc, and web-linking for direct fault investigation by Testometric, monitoring and software upgrades.

Digital electronics and Ethernet connectivity provide the user with a direct link between their machine to the Testometric Control Centre, enabling engineers to monitor the machine remotely and make any adjustments necessary. This is all done under high levels of security, complying with all US corporate, local and federal legislation and uses end-to-end 256 bit SSL encryption. This gives the user total confidence their machine is working correctly regardless of their location, reducing any downtime and servicing costs.

The AT models incorporate an integral industrial PC and touch-screen interface with an easy-to-use control panel. The CT models have automated control of test procedures from an external PC. Both model types include the comprehensive Windows.NET software package. To allow maximum (kN) force applications, AT/CT machines are available in standard and floor-standing models with a 1–1000 kN force range.

The machines are used in routine tensile/compression testing and specialised research and development work. Special machines including wide throat, extended stroke and horizontal configuration to user-specific requirements can also be supplied.

The models conform to all international standards of accuracy, including EN10002.2, DIN 51221, ASTM E4, AFNOR A03-501, JIS B7721 and JIS B7733. They also conform to all European and other safety standards and carry a CE mark with NAMAS certification.
