Abnova SpiralPipet spiral-mix magnetic bead handling system

Abnova’s SpiralPipet is a spiral-mix magnetic bead handling system for high-throughput precipitation, purification and extraction.

Combining a deep 96-well plate with affinity conjugated magnetic beads, the system easily handles eight different assays simultaneously by transferring beads from one well to the next for spiral-mixing, binding, washing and elution reactions via the robotic action of parallel magnetic rods. It can also work independently as a standalone pipette.

The product simplifies a routine yet labour-intensive process and addresses the needs of rigorous proteomic screening and biomarker discovery applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP, ChIP, RIP), recombinant protein purification, protein-protein interaction and nucleic acid extraction. It delivers reproducible and consistent results by obviating the drawbacks of manual operation. Its integrated on-screen pipette display allows for the parameters to be easily changed so it can be tailored to the user’s experiment.
