Biomicroscopy solution provider, ibidi has launched ibiTreat, a surface modification for improved cell adhesion on µ-Slides, ibidi's microscopy carriers. ibiTreat enables optimal cell adhesion and proliferation and allows high resolution microscopy under perfusion conditions.

µ-Slides allow cell culturing and high resolution microscopy with one and the same slide. The ibiTreat surface improves and alleviates microscopic analysis of living and fixed cells and allows analysis of endothelial cells even under perfusion conditions. The adhesion of cells to ibiTreat-coated slides is strong enough to perform flow experiments simulating the physiological shear stress of the blood flow in the abdominal aorta.

The surface allows optimal cell adhesion that is comparable to standard cell culture flasks. Simultaneously, ibiTreat bears the advantage that the cells can be analysed with high resolution microscopy, without disturbing auto fluorescence.
