Copan ESwab bacterial sample collection system
Copan ESwab is a technologically advanced collection system for bacterial culture and PCR. The system is FDA approved.
Utilising flocked swab technology, combined with a liquid Aimes media that can be stored and transported at room temperature, the ESwab offers bacterial culture sample viability for 48 h (24 h for Neisseria gonorrhoeae) and for bacterial, viral and chlamydial antigens and PCR, up to 6 months viability.
Conforming to the CLSI M40-A standard, ESwab has an 18-month shelf life from date of manufacture and comes with three types of applicator shafts: regular, minitip and pernasal.
The Copan flocked swab will not degrade during transport and has good sample absorption and release.
