The Copan Innovation ESwab is an advanced collection system for bacterial culture and PCR.
The FDA-approved bacterial sample collection system uses flocked swab technology combined with a liquid Aimes media that can be stored and transported at room temperature.
The ESwab offers bacterial culture sample viability for 48 hours (24 hours for Neisseria gonorrhoeae) and, for bacterial, viral and chlamydial antigens and PCR, up to 6 months’ viability.
Conforming to the CLSI M40-A standard, ESwab has an 18-month shelf life from date of manufacture and comes with three types of applicator shafts: regular, minitip and pernasal.
