CryoLogic’s cryopreservation systems are controlled rate liquid nitrogen freezer systems that can be used for the routine preservation of a variety of biological specimens where post thaw viability is critical. The units are designed to precisely control the rate of cooling or warming of specimens, with a high degree of temperature uniformity; temperature is monitored and regulated continuously. Systems are configured from a range of temperature controllers and cryochambers.

The CL3300 controller is operated from a computer using CryoLogic’s software. It has a temperature control range of +40 to -120 °C.

The 60-ampoule cryochamber can accommodate up to 60 x 1.0 or 2.0 mL screwtop (internal thread) cryovials and has a cooling rate of 3 °C/min at 20 °C, and 1.5 °C/min at -40 °C. Each ampoule is individually accessible.

This chamber is suitable in applications where freezing protocols of 1 °C/min are used (eg, bacterial cultures).

The system is suitable for controlled-rate freezing of specimens requiring long-term storage.
