The cryopreservation media manufactured by Cellular Engineering Technologies can be used to freeze both adherent and non-adherent cells.
The media has been tested with hematopoietic stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, amniotic epithelial stem cells, cancer cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts and immune cells.
Cells can be stored on a long-term basis in the vapour phase of a liquid nitrogen storage tank. On thawing, the cells are claimed to show greater than 95% viability, with little debris formation and cell death.
