Anton Paar Generation M density meters are ergonomically designed and easy to use.
They feature FillingCheck, a function that automatically detects filling errors or gas bubbles in the filled-in sample. It alerts the operator to potential measurement deviations and documents the incident.
The U-View functionality displays live images of the oscillating U-tube sensor and the entire filled-in sample. Potential problems with the sample can be identified in real time or during a later review of the images, automatically stored in the memory.
The meters do not need multi-temperature calibrations. This allows fast and accurate measurements in the entire temperature range over extended periods of time. It also minimises drifts caused by temperature stress.
The meters provide automatic sample viscosity correction, along with platinum thermometers for temperature control. The local air pressure is automatically determined and factored into the reading.
A large, easy-to-read colour display with touch-screen function simplifies routine operations. For harsh environments, additional function keys are provided to keep the display clean. A keyboard, mouse and bar code reader can be connected for convenient operation. Four USB, two RS232 interfaces and an ethernet interface allow data transfer as well as secure operation for GMP, GLP and 21 CFR Part 11 applications.
PC monitors can be connected for increased legibility.
Plug-in sample changers manage sample viscosities of up to 35,000 mPa.s.
The available models DMA 4100 M, DMA 4500 M and DMA 5000 M are claimed to provide accuracies of 0.0001, 0.00005 and 0.000005 g/cm respectively. Applications include: the measurement of petroleum, petroleum products and alternative fuels; the analysis of chemicals, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, perfumes and flavours, beverages and spirits; calibration services; and R&D applications.
