DG laboratory safety caps

Monday, 06 April, 2009 | Supplied by: SCHOTT Australia Pty Ltd

The DG Safety Cap is designed specifically for laboratories that handle highly aggressive gas-forming liquids or solvents that need to be transferred safely and cleanly.

The modular system is an addition to the growing family of connection systems designed to work specifically with Schott reagent bottles by The Duran Group.

The highly chemically resistant PTFE-made DG Safety Caps are particularly suitable for usage with aggressive solvents, alkaline and acid solutions.

The variety of choices available includes one, two or three connection ports with the option of stopcocks. Other options include an air valve with a PTFE membrane filter (1 µm), screw thread adapters and charcoal filters. Advantages include free rotating caps to ensure no tangling or twisting of tubes, a ground joint version (NS 29/32) and stopcocks ensure minimum substance loss and contamination prevention.

For HPLC applications, usage of the Duran Pressure Plus laboratory bottle is recommended. This bottle is specifically designed to be pressure resistant from -1 to +1.5 bar.
