Digital micrometer

Friday, 05 June, 2009 | Supplied by: IDM Instruments

The IDM Instruments digital micrometer can be used to measure the thickness of paper, plastic, tissue and other sheeted material requiring precise digital thickness measurement.

The unit automatically cycles up and down at the push of a button, providing a repeatable thickness reading at the end of each cycle.

The robust design provides two parallel, circular pressure faces, between which the material is placed for measurement.

The standard instrument comes with a measuring pressure of 2 kPa, with the added option of a 20, 50 or 100 kPa instrument, depending on the application and requirements. The pressure feet are easily interchangeable to allow for quick testing.

The micrometer can be manufactured with reference to various internationally recognised testing sensors, to suit different applications.
