Wednesday, 13 August, 2014 | Supplied by: Edmund Optics Singapore Pte Ltd

Edmund Optics introduces Slow Axis Collimators. They consist of a monolithic array of cylindrical lenses that are designed to collimate the individual emitters of a laser bar.

The collimators feature a numerical aperture of 0.05, surface accuracy of λ/4 and low curvature deviation for increased collimation. They also feature a standard AR coating for 790-990 nm and provide greater than 99% transmission to provide high performance with minimal loss of light. To meet the full range of user collimation needs, the product may be used with Fast Axis Collimators to create custom collimation combinations that provide a wide range of solutions.

The RoHS-compliant collimators measure 12 x 1.50 mm and are available in 50, 100 and 150 μm sizes. All sizes have 500 μm pitch.
