High-resolution scales

Resolutions in the milligram range, high overload protection and a rugged design are all features in the Sartorius Signum series of scales for fast and stable weighing results. The series now includes the high-resolution scales Signum Advanced (SIWA) and Signum Supreme (SIWS).

The extended series provides users with compact premium industrial scales, which in their basic version are straightforward and can be custom-tailored to users’ specific needs using the wide range of options.

The Signum Advanced scales have a mechatronic load cell-based weighing system, which delivers resolutions from 80,000 to 150,000 d, and a weighing capacity in a choice of 1.5 to 8 kg.

The Signum Supreme scales feature a monolithic weigh cell with an integrated A/D converter, and provide weighing capacities ranging from 620 g to 6 kg with resolutions of up to 620,000 d.

Among the many features of the Signum scales is their built-in motorised calibration weight. This means that the scale can be calibrated and adjusted all in one step at the touch of a key right at the place where it is used, ensuring accuracy at all times. Both versions of the high-resolution Signum scales can be verified and certified as legal for trade at the factory, and therefore used right out of the box in legal metrology.

The latest models have high overload protection up to 300 kg, are rugged and resistant, and adapt to virtually any ambient conditions.

The Signum scales have a draft shield so that users obtain a stable reading despite the sensitivity of these high-resolution instruments.

The Signum Supreme models can be ordered optionally with IP65 protection (dust-tight and wash-down resistance).

An additional highlight of the Signum series is the wide choice of versions offered. The user can choose from three application levels, various resolutions, a large selection of interfaces and many additional options. This adaptability makes the scales suitable for high-resolution weighing tasks and checkweighing, batching and formulating, as well as for performing sophisticated applications such as counting with automatic reference sample updating for optimised accuracy.

The high-resolution scales are easy to operate. The operator terminal featuring a practical slimline design can be set up in just a few easy steps - next to the scale, mounted on a column or fastened to a wall using the wall bracket, wherever the user needs it for optimum ergonomical use. Optional interfaces meet all the requirements for state-of-the-art data transfer, including ethernet and PLC connectivity. An analog port for connecting a second weighing platform, a reference scale or bulk weigher can be selected for any of the models of the Signum series. All models can also be used on the move, and either battery operated or run from a 12 V power supply.
