HunterLab D25 NC colour measurement instrument

The D25 NC is the latest in a long line of D25 instruments from colour measurement company HunterLab. Specifically designed to measure both large and small irregularly shaped products such as capsules, tablets, extruded plastic parts, building materials, minerals, crushed rock, crystals and cosmetics, it easily manages granules and powders of all sizes, as well as opaque liquids, gels and pastes.

The colour measurement system integrates a non-contact sensor and a rotating sample dish in one stand-alone instrument. Its design and automated motion enables: repeatable results measuring irregularly shaped and coloured products; rapid sampling — five flashes per second, 25 times per cycle; full cycle averaging for a large measured sample area of 129 cm2 per cycle; and easy sample preparation, clean-up and maintenance. The intelligent integrated height sensor enables accurate product height measurement, consistent colour measurement independent of height variation and measurement of the sample only and not the dish.

The product’s easy-to-read colour display features a simple built-in user interface. Ruggedly designed and constructed, the compact unit requires minimal bench space. It features USB connectivity for devices such as a printer, keyboard, barcode scanner and computer, as well as internal storage of up to 250 different set-ups and 2000 sample measurements. Additional features include low power consumption and long-life LED illumination.
