Kartell manufactures a selection of tubing and hoses suitable for a wide range of laboratory uses.

The tubing comes in an array of materials, including PVC, silicon, PTFE, natural rubber, para rubber, neoprene and latex. Each material has its own individual advantages and is suitable for use with a range of different substances. PVC is resistant to acids and alkalis and is suitable for the transfer of liquids. Silicon hosing is FDA, USP, Class VI, A 50p60 and EPC VI.1.3.2 approved. PTFE hoses feature good resistance to acids, bases and solvents. Natural rubber is suitable for use with gases, non-corrosive liquids and medium concentration acids.

Vacuum tubing, made from para rubber and featuring a cloth impression surface, is suitable for use with air, water, medium concentration acids, alkaline solutions, abrasive products and oxygenised solvents. Neoprene hoses are designed for normal laboratory use and are resistant to most acids and solvents.

Latex hoses feature a smooth transparent surface and are suitable for sterilisation by autoclaving.

The Kartell range of hoses is available in varying standard lengths depending on style and also a wide range of sizing, from 1.0 mm int. ø x 3.0 mm ext. ø up to 12.0 mm int. ø x 21.0 mm ext. ø. This sizing varies across the ranges.

The Kartell Hose Selector provides nominal outer diameter and interior diameter of hoses. It can also be used to determine the required size of connectors. Details of the range of Kartell connectors are available in the Kartell 2010-11 catalogue.
