Laboratory and field balances

The PGL line of balances combines the solid construction and fundamental features of a high-precision, top-loading balance with the versatility of a portable.

A full-metal diecast housing, sealed front panel and readabilities of 1 and 10 mg, and 0.1 g make the PGL suitable for applications that demand both high precision and ruggedness. A built-in rechargeable battery and AC adapter/charger allow users to take the balances anywhere, even out to the field, while they are equally at home in the laboratory, classroom or factory.

The balances feature a large backlit display with a capacity tracker that is easy to read and shows users how much weighing range is left when using the tare function, ensuring that the balance is not overloaded.

The three-point overload protection is complemented by application modes for parts counting, percentage weighing, specific gravity/density determination and checkweighing as well as nine weighing units including one custom unit.

Navigating the built-in applications and weighing modes is easy with the intuitively designed keypad. Access to the main functions is quick and a special lockout feature allows the supervisor to set up access to all or certain functions so users do not inadvertently change the settings.

Communications are easy with the built-in bidirectional RS-232 interface.

The PGL series works with the AdamDU data collection software or alternatively interfaces with computers or printers.

With several models in the range with capacities x readability combinations from 200 g by 0.001 g to 20,000 g by 0.1 g, the PGL range is suitable for a large selection of applications.
