The LC-Pak cartridge provides ultra-pure water with a very low level of organics, claimed to be at a cost less than that of commercially available bottled water for chromatography.
The cartridge contains tightly packed C18 reverse-phase silica that binds organic molecules through hydrophobic interactions. It connects to the outlet of a Milli-Q water dispenser (Q-POD) or any Millipore Type I water purification system (Milli-Q, Direct-Q, Synergy or Simplicity system). The cartridge produces at least 500 L of ultra-pure water suitable for trace organics analysis when fed with ultra-pure water with a TOC level below 5 ppb.
