Omicron Laserage SOLE laser light engines

Thursday, 06 April, 2017 | Supplied by: SciTech Pty Ltd

The SOLE laser light engines from Omicron Laserage combine up to six wavelengths in a compact and rugged design. Wavelengths between 355 and 2090 nm and optical output powers up to 2500 mW per laser line are possible.

High-speed analog and digital modulation, as well as fast switching between the individual wavelengths, is realised by Omicron’s DEEPSTAR technology. The light engines offer singlemode polarisation maintaining fibre coupling with high stability.

Other features include: an electronic shutter function for fast wavelength switching; flexible, customised wavelength combinations; a USB 2.0 interface for comfortable laser control; Windows-based laser control software; an automatic ageing compensation (AAC) function; a 0.7 mm beam diameter option; flexible, customer-configurable input signalling; and software drivers for Metamorph, LabVIEW and Micromanager.

Applications for the plug-and-play laser light source include flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and optogenetics.
