The Panametrics PT878 ultrasonic flowmeter and OKS transducers allows users to non-invasively measure flow rates in pipes within the temperature range of -200 to 350°C. Users can carry out flow measurements with the ultrasonic flowmeter without cutting the pipe.
The transducers are mounted on the exterior of the pipe, which simplifies and speeds installation, so pressure drops, leaks and contamination are minimised.
It is suitable for testing liquid flow in manufacturing processes, without costly repairs or changes to plant.
The non-invasive clamp-on transducers cover a flow range from 0.03 to 12.2 m/s with up to 32 sets of pipe data by site. Velocity, volumetric, energy and totalised flow can be recorded by the built-in data logger for 100,000 measurements or seen on the large LCD.
The units operate with many pipe materials, lined or unlined.
