This fixture is designed for applications in the packaging and food and beverage industries. Typical applications include the testing of adhesives, films and packaging, such as foil seals found on yoghurt containers, juice containers and others.
The work table for the Pell Fixture includes mounting holes to accommodate a range of sample sizes. The work table moves horizontally while the test stand crosshead moves vertically, thereby maintaining a 90° angle between the table and the direction of pull.
A limit switch can also be used as an option, which stops the motor on a motorised test stand when the slide has reached its end of travel, thereby preventing cable breakage, due to excessive movement.
