Pure water for clinical analyser laboratories

Wednesday, 09 January, 2008 | Supplied by: Thermo Fisher Scientific

Elga Medica pure water systems can provide direct feed to clinical chemistry and immunology analysers used in pathology laboratories. The single box solutions have been purpose-built to power total pure water requirements for clinical pathology laboratories. The units are designed to supply either a single analyser or the total laboratory water requirement by feeding multiple analysers including dispense taps.

The systems feature user recognition keys to prevent accidental changes to a validated set-up and access to sanitation routines. Emergency bypass loops minimise potential down time by providing an uninterrupted supply of pure water to the analyser in an emergency.

By utilising a combination of technologies to produce high purity water cost-effectively, Medica systems meet the pure water requirements of all analyser companies, typically Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI, formerly NCCLS) grade standard. Medica systems also meet the Class One Medical Device status under FDA citation 21 CFR 862.2050.
