Snijders Labs ultralow-temperature freezers now include 827 and 965 L units, meaning they can now store up to 70,000 x 1-2 mL vials. The EvoSafe units are said to feature the latest technology to ensure maximum protection of valuable samples. They also use 30% less power than traditional freezers, resulting in fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

The units only require a standard 10 A power outlet and are said to use less power than other smaller competitive units. They are fitted with PU insulation between the interior and exterior panels, which is claimed to provide better insulation values than traditional foamed-in-place insulation and more recent vacuum insulation panel technologies. The freezer is said to lose less temperature than traditional brands, be more efficient and recover faster after door openings, providing protection of critical samples.

A water-cooled condenser option is also available, providing even lower power consumption and lower air-conditioning costs for the laboratory. The range is available in both upright and chest versions with sizes from 120 to 965 L and comes with full data logging, alarm functionality and internet connectivity.
