Temperature and humidity monitor

The Saveris measurement system measures temperature and humidity values in the environment and in processes. The easy-to-use system features radio probes that save their measurement data and send it to the central base at regular intervals.

If a limit value is exceeded, a radio link is established immediately. Through bidirectional transmission, the radio probe and the base are in mutual contact, ensuring that the data is only recorded by the base and is not interfered with by other radio systems.

An alarm sounds in the event that the radio link is interrupted by obstacles. The probe’s memory stores the measurement data so it is not lost during an interference in the radio link.

In free field, the transmission path is approximately 100 m at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. In buildings, the transmission path is strongly influenced by structural conditions such as walls, refrigerator doors or metal doors; however, the link can be improved or lengthened with a router.

A display is available on the radio probes, which can show current measurement data, the battery status and the quality of the radio link.

An alternative to the radio probe is the Saveris Ethernet probe, which can be used with the existing LAN infrastructure to transfer data from the probe to the base, even over long distances. The ethernet probes connect to the mains and therefore work independently of batteries. The internal memory guarantees that the existing measurement data is not lost during a failure of the mains or the LAN connection. A display informs about the current measurement data as well as the probe status.

The base can save 40,000 readings per measurement channel, independent of the PC. This corresponds to around one year of memory capacity at a measuring rate of 15 mins. An emergency battery starts an alarm and saves the data during a power failure. The system data and alarms are visible via the display of the Saveris base.

The base also issues an alarm by means of an LED if the limit value is exceeded, or optionally via SMS or relay output to an external alarm transmitter.

In total, the base can incorporate 150 radio and ethernet probes or 254 measurement channels. It connects to the PC either via USB or ethernet cable.

This system is suitable for: monitoring and documentation of temperature or humidity data in production, quality assurance and R&D; monitoring the storage climate of temperature and humidity-sensitive products; and the monitoring of a cooling chain.
