The Q series range of thermal analysers incorporates a number of models with a variety of features to handle a broad cross section of applications.
The Q10, Q100 and Q1000 Differential Scanning Calorimeters are based on TZero technology and offer high performance in baseline stability, resolution and sensitivity. Some optional features are digital mass flow control, a fifty position autosampler and Modulated DSC. Other accessories include pressure DSC and photocalorimetry as well as a range of cooling options, which cover temperatures from -180 to 725°C.
The Q50 and Q500 Thermogravimetric Analysers are vertical balances with a sensitivity of 0.1µg. They provide TGA performance with internal mass flow control and gas switching, an efficient low mass furnace or replaceable evolved gases analysis quartz furnace and a temperature range from ambient to 1000°C. The Q500 model can be expanded to perform high resolution or modulated TGA or it can be used as an autosampler.
The simultaneous DSC-TGA Q600 is available for experiments where temperatures are up to 1500°C.
The Thermomechanical Analyser, Q400, employs an accurate, movable-core LVDT transducer. The force is programmable from 0.001 to 1 N and applied by a non-contact motor.
The Q800, which supersedes TA's DMA 2980, uses non-contact linear drive technology to provide precise control of stress. It also features air bearings for low friction support. Strain is measured using optical encoder technology. Temperature range covers -150 to 600°C. A large range of measuring clamps such as dual/singular cantilever, three point bending, shear sandwich, compression, tension and submersibles are available with the Q800.
