Thermo Scientific benchtop and microcentrifuges solutions can be used to accelerate the sample preparation process.

Combining capacity and maximum throughput with ergonomic design and energy efficiency, the ClickSeal bio-containment rotor lids assure correct seal and rapid access to samples. The glove-friendly, one-handed, snap-on covers replace screw caps and clips.

The Auto-lock system simplifies rotor exchanges for improved safety in less than 3 s with the push of a button for application versatility and cleaning.

A broad rotor selection supports multiple applications on one machine, saving bench space and reducing costs. The Fiberlite carbon fibre rotors enable increased capacity and higher g-force (up to 25,000 xg with 50 mL disposable conical tubes).

Benchtop solutions include, for research applications, the Heraeus Multifuge X3 centrifuge series for high-performance processing that allows up to 40 x 50 mL conical tubes in swing-out rotor. The carbon fibre rotors provide good speeds, higher capacities and durability with a robust, corrosion-free design.

For clinical applications, the Heraeus Megafuge 40 centrifuge series supports everyday sample preparation processes. With capacities for processing up to 196 x 7 mL blood collection tubes, its robust design, quality components and low noise level is suitable for the most demanding clinical environments.

The Pico and Fresco microcentrifuges combine power versatility and convenience in a safe, compact footprint. Two speed levels are available. The 17,000 xg model is suitable for routine applications and the 21,000 xg is suitable for high-end applications, achieving 20% faster run times. Six rotors are available.

Low, super and ultra-speed centrifuges are available. The low-speed centrifuges provide reliable reproducibility and versatility. The superspeed units ensure high productivity, vacuum-free operation and bolt-down-free installation, with the ultra platforms providing enhanced performance, reduced noise and a compact footprint.

The large-capacity units reliably reproducible separations for blood banking and large volume processing, process large capacities - up to 12 blood bags or 12 L in a single run for maximum productivity. Their user-friendly controls include set and actual displays to verify protocols. For improved separations, the accumulated centrifugal effect (ACE) feature ensures that product yields are reproducible, regardless of full or partial sample loads.

The superspeed, high-throughput systems for continual processing and increased productivity are designed for maximum productivity with up to 6 L of capacity and performance up to 26,000 rpm/70,450 xg with rapid acceleration and deceleration rates. They integration with an extensive range of Fiberlite carbon fibre rotors and meet CS and CSA safety standards without the need to bolt to the floor. Intuitive user displays offer ease of use.

The ultraspeed systems utilise a powerful separation technology in a quiet, compact design. They combine good performance, up to 1,048,680 xg, with safety, ergonomics, energy efficiency and ease of use. The reliable, user-friendly control simplifies instrument set-up and operation, with UltraSecur password protection for multi-user environments.

A broad rotor set is available to suit changing laboratory needs and a HEPA filter option and a variety of accessories for both floor and benchtop models are available.
