Thermo Scientific TSX Series blood bank refrigerators and plasma freezers
The Thermo Scientific TSX Series high-performance blood bank refrigerators operate at a factory-preset temperature of 4°C. TSX Series high-performance plasma freezers have also been developed.
Like the previously introduced TSX Series of ultralow freezers, the high-performance refrigerators and freezers are powered by V-Drive technology, designed to deliver improved performance and significant energy savings. The V-Drive, combined with good insulation, is said to ensure up to 10 times quieter operation than in conventional instruments, enabling the products to be located closer to the point of care without noise disturbance.
The refrigerators and freezers use natural refrigerants, in accordance with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Significant New Alternative Policy (SNAP) for improved laboratory sustainability.
