Aim Lab has established a new fully-owned subsidiary, Tecan Australia, to promote and support Tecan laboratory equipment in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands.

The new venture will provide dedicated support of Tecan products through a dedicated support hotline, with a training centre to be established to provide customers with a range of courses and tutorials on Tecan products.

Roland Durner, former director of market and application management at Tecan in Switzerland is now the general manager for Tecan Australia.

"We are very pleased to be taking the next step in expanding our presence in Australia," he said in a statement.
